Welcome the the
Pupil Personnel Services Department
Special Education
Services are delivered to students with special needs from ages
3-21 in the least restrictive environment. These are in accordance
with Federal and State laws.
Dear
Parents and Guardians,
Welcome
to the Pupil Personnel Services Department of the Norwalk Public
Schools website. The Pupil Personnel Department of the Norwalk Public
Schools recognizes that parents/guardians are integral participants
in the development of their child's educational programming. It
is important that the schools and parents work together in order
for all of our students to benefit from their school experience.
The
referral of your child to determine the need for Special Education
Instruction and Related Services may be a new experience that poses
many questions for you. We encourage you to call any member of our
department who will be ready to answer questions, provide information
and listen to your concerns.
This
website is being designed to provide you with current information
on a variety of topics that may be of interest. We have made a commitment
to enhance our website as the year progresses, so please check back.
In addition, as this website is developed, we would value feedback
from you. We hope you find it helpful as we continue to work as
partners in order to provide a happy and successful school experience
for your child.
