Minutes of Executive Committee Meeting

 

 

Date of Meeting:                           December 9, 2009

 

Meeting Called to Order:           6:18 p.m.

 

Present:                                           Glenn Iannaccone, Sue Hamilton, Bill Papallo

 

       I.            The minutes of the November 24, 2009 Executive Committee were read and approved with one correction: Sue Haynie’s name was removed from those being present as part of the executive committee.

 

    II.            A discussion was held about interviews that will take place before the meeting on December 15. One interview will take place at 6:15 followed by one at 6:45 pm.

 

 III.            The “Spotlight on Norwalk Public Schools” which was to have been recognition of a recent high school band competition will be on the agenda at a future meeting because of a schedule conflict with the band director.

 

 IV.            There was discussion about content of resolutions and it was decided that they should be a brief synopsis of the issue.

 

    V.            A discussion about the NHS Civic Forum room resulted in the determination that this item should be sent to Facilities staff for review and appropriate recommendation and/or action.

 

 VI.            A report on “Race to the Top” will be made at the December 15 meeting. An informational meeting about this topic will be held at CES which Glenn will attend.

 

VII.            The superintendent’s report will also include the status of the Interim Superintendent position.
