Spotlight on Norwalk Public Schools

Congratulations to the Norwalk High School and Brien McMahon High School Boys Swim Team. They have been recognized by the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association with a Scholar Team Award for the 2008-2009 season. The members of the team combined to earn a GPA of 3.241 during this past season to earn "Bronze Level" status. Mr. Douglas Marchetti is the coach.

Also, congratulations to Shavonna Hilliard and Jesse Clemens, Ponus Ridge Middle School students, who were recognized recently along with their teacher Mr. Stephen McLaughlin. The students were recognized for their published works in a statewide magazine titled Connecticut Student Writers. Nearly 1,000 pieces were submitted this year. This is the second time students from Ponus Ridge have been published in the statewide magazine.
