I. Call to Order: 7:06

II. Approval of Minutes of April 29th: Approved

III. Discussion of policies:

Policy #4152.5 Family and Medical Leave of Absence

The committee discussed changes to the law for FMLA and the attorney recommended language for the regulation. The newest changes relate to military service and requirement for notification of employees of eligibility. Ms Rutolo will create a bulleted list of changes for the committee and the Board. This will go on the Board agenda for June 16th. After Ms. Rutolo left, Ms Bartush expressed concern that teachers are receiving papaerwork and don’t know how to handle it. The HR Dept needs to communicate with teachers so they know what their rights and responsibilities are. The chair will contact HR and ask for clarification for employees.

IV. Schedule for future policy review: The next meeting will be July 1st. Policy 6171 will be reviewed and revised.
