Board of Education Policy Committee Minutes

April 29, 2009

I. Call to Order: 7:15

II. Approval of Minutes of April 2nd: Approved

III. Discussion of policies:

A. Policy #6121 Instruction-Non Discrimination: The attorney recommends adding language regarding designating a 504 coordinator and HRO compliance officer. The newly developed and attorney reviewed procedures pertaining to 504 plans will replace the existing regulations which are outdated.

IV. Schedule for future policy review: The next meeting will be determined by the chair. Policy 6171 will be reviewed and revised.
